SHIPPING POLICIES

At Jan's Homemade Candies, we take pride in our excellent products and customer service! Although most orders ship within two business days, custom orders (any of the hand painted products) may take a few days to a few weeks to produce. Please order your custom chocolates well in advance of the date you expect delivery.

We take great care in packaging Jan's Homemade Candies to ensure the highest quality of our products. Please keep in mind the following when placing your order:

We use USPS to ship all our orders within the Continental United States. If the shipping destination is over 80 degrees, USPS Express mail may be required. PLEASE NOTE:  We require a signature on Express Mail.  Please inform the recipient to be there  for the express delivery.

  Due to temperature differences across the country, we may choose not to ship over the weekend in order to ensure premium quality on arrival.

There is a $4.00 handling fee to cover the costs of insulated boxes and  frozen gel packs.

 We ask that someone be at your home or business to accept the package when it is delivered.  We cannot guarantee a package if it is left outdoors for any extended amount of time.

Holidays are a busy time of the year for us and processing your order could take a little extra time. To ensure your Holiday delivery, please follow the guidelines below:

CHRISTMAS, 2016: (For delivery on or before December 24th): USPS Priority Mail Delivery: Order by midnight of December 12th.  USPS Express Next Day Delivery: Order by midnight of December 19th  PLEASE NOTE: Next Day Delivery requires a signature from the recipient.  Plesae inform them to be there for delivery.

NEW YEAR'S DAY, 2017 (For delivery on or before December 31st): USPS Priority Mail Delivery: Order by midnight of December 23rd.. USPS Express Next Day Delivery: Order by midnight of December 26th. PLEASE NOTE:  Next Day Delivery requires a signature from the recipient. Please inform them to be there for delivery.

VALENTINE'S DAY, 2017: (For delivery on or before February 13th): USPS Priority Mail Delivery: Order by midnight of February 3th. USPS Express Next Day Delivery: Order by midnight of February 8th. PLEASE NOTE:  Next Day Delivery requires a signature from the recipeient.  Please inform them to be there for delivery.

EASTER, 2017 (For delivery on or before April 15th )  USPS Priority Mail Delivery: Order by midnight of APril 3rd.  USPS Express Next Day Delivery: Order by midnight of  April 8th  PLEASE NOTE:  Next day delivery requires a signature. Please inform them to be there for the delivery.

RETURN POLICY

Our return policy is very simple. When you order from Jan's Homemade Candies, you can be sure that your chocolates will arrive in perfect condition. Changes in climate due to different destinations require extra care so we carefully package our chocolates using frozen gel packs and insulated packaging. We suggest that someone be at your home or business to receive your package. However, If for any reason your order does not meet your satisfaction, simply notify us for a prompt replacement.

The major credit card companies created PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance standards to protect personal information and ensure security when transactions are being processed using a credit card.  Jan's Homemade Candies is dedicated to comply with their strict security standards.

We are partners with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway which was established in 1996. Together, we offer safe and secure credit card transactions for our customers. The Authorize.Net Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the credit card processing networks.  The company adhers to strict industry standards for payment processing.

WE DO NOT SAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER 
We never save your credit card number.  Once  you submit your order,  your credit card number is simply passed along, through secure SSL encryption, to the credit card processor's secure processors.

While you might prefer the convenience of not having to re-enter your credit card number, for maximum security,  we have conformed to the PCI preferred practice of not saving this sensitve data.
